The First 30 Days – Free Warranty
Within 30 days of receiving your new Impasse or Sovereign safe, you must notify Impasse Royal Safes, LLC (hereafter "Impasse Royal" or "Impasse"), in writing, of any missing part, cosmetic condition or mechanical defect requiring attention. Having done so, any such needed part, service or repair, if approved by Impasse Royal, will be provided or paid for by Impasse Royal. This does not include damage that occurred during shipment as Impasse Royal will need to file a claim with the trucking company since they would be the ones responsible for such damage.
A One-Year Extended Warranty May Be Purchased
If you purchase the extended warranty at the time you purchase the safe, for one year following the initial 30-day Free Warranty period, any needed parts, services or repairs approved by Impasse and covered by the warranty terms (see below) shall be paid for by Impasse Royal Safes, LLC subject to your co-payment of the first $50 of costs incurred. The cost of this extended warranty is 1% of the safe price, with a $19 minimum, if free shipping was included the purchase price. If shipping was in addition to the purchase price, the cost is 1.5% of the price with a $19 minimum."
Extended Warranty Terms
The One-Year Extended Warranty guarantees that your safe remains free from mechanical defects that interfere with the operation of the safe or cause it to not operate as designed. This warranty is non-transferable; it applies only to the original owner with proof of purchase from an authorized Impasse dealer or representative. Impasse Royal’s liability for any warranty claim shall be limited to the repair or replacement of the safe or a refund of the purchase price, less your $50 co-payment. For service, contact Impasse Royal and go through their troubleshooting procedures. If you do not wish to go through their troubleshooting procedures, any services provided by Impasse will not be covered under this warranty. If onsite service is required, you will need to sign a disclaimer before an onsite technician will be sent out.
What Is Not Covered by the Extended Warranty?
This warranty does not cover damage or malfunction resulting from: a) an accident, negligence, misuse or abuse; b) the cost for a locksmith to open the safe if the combination is lost or improperly entered; c) a safe that has been altered or was damaged by an attempted repair not performed by an Impasse Royal authorized technician. If an onsite technician determines the problem(s) was caused by user error or user damage, you will be liable for all costs related to the service.
In no case shall Impasse Royal be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages based upon breach of warranty, breach of contract, negligence, or any other legal theory. Such uncovered damages include, but are not limited to loss of profits or revenue, loss of safe contents, loss of use of the safe, cost of capital, cost of any substitute equipment, facilities or services, downtime, the claims of third parties including customers, and damage to property. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose which extends beyond this warranty. Any claim arising from this warranty shall be resolved in the State of California and California law will apply.
